Английская пресса о нас и наших мероприятиях:

Midnight at the Aquarium club in London, and the Crème de la Kremlin party is warming up nicely as scores of alcohol-fuelled young Russians sway and sing along to cheesy pop tunes from back home. The bar has been under siege since the doors opened…

Among the exuberant crowd are a startling number of drop-dead gorgeous girls, mostly leggy blondes in microscopic skirts, some dancing together to the slinky Russian pop duo Tatu.

the hottest club sounds from Moscow pounding away under the Hoxton streets. A thousand Russians dancing created a feeling that London was 2,000 miles away.

From Russia to live

29 February 2004

It’s Friday night at the Stork Rooms and a good-looking, well-dressed crowd is dancing to cheesy Euro pop and quaffing industrial-strength vodka. But this is no ordinary club evening. For one thing, Lady Victoria Hervey is nowhere to be seen. For another, everyone is speaking Russian. Here, under a glitter ball the size of a small planet, the London-living sons and daughters of New Russia’s oil magnates and bankers convene on a regular basis to celebrate their collective good fortune.

London’s Russians might be assimilating slowly, but they still know how to have the most fun.

Time Out

Expatriot Games

February, 1999

London is known as one of the most cosmopolitan cities on earth, but how many of you knew that around 100,000 Russians live in it? Judging by the popularity of Russian club night, at Aquarium, most of them can't wait to put on their dancing shoes.

Ninety per cent of the crowd are Russian, students and even big groups of embassy staff forming the nucleus of the extremely laissez-faire crowd.

The Big Issue

The Russians are coming. And they want to dance.

February, 1999

There's a one-nighter in London run by Russians, for Russians. It's as close as you get to leaving London without doing so.

Cheesy, Euro house beats were overlaid with upbeat, Russian pop vocals. To hear the girls in shiny pink boob tubes, worn in unironic Eighties spirit, sing along, you could swear it translated as "I feel horny, horny, horny, horny".

The obvious question, then, is why should an English clubber go? ...it's really good, uninhibited fun, the kind you only have when you're abroad and you're sure you won't run into anyone who knows you. ...Somewhere close to the end of the evening, lots and lots of girls (all beautiful) took all their clothes off and jumped into the swimming pool. Good enough?
